When Lamar Schmidt started Holdrege Irrigation with only three employees in 1991, he did everything from sales to ordering parts and making after-hours service calls when producers needed parts. As the company grew, Lamar instilled this spirit of dedication in his employees, teaching them to make customer service a top priority and to always be the partner growers could rely on for support. That philosophy helped Holdrege Irrigation grow, and today, under the direction of Lamar’s son, Tim, more than 65 irrigation professionals work across locations in Holdrege, Lexington, Alda, and now Ravenna. The company has been recognized nationally by Reinke as one of its top dealers multiple times, with numerous awards including the Top Dealer, Top 5 Dealer, Top Parts Dealer and other awards with recognition regionally and nationally. Holdrege Irrigation offers the full line of quality Reinke irrigation equipment, and, in addition to pivot design and installation, provides service and repair for all brands of pivots, including underground installation and repair. To provide the finest service for its customers, Holdrege Irrigation also draws on the support of its sister companies, Holdrege Well Service, Holdrege Electric and Holdrege Trailer Sales.
